Frank Albert Dorvee

CHARLTON-Frank Albert Dorvee, 85, formerly of Charlton and Niskayuna, NY passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Baptist Retirement Center, Scotia. Frank was born in Ballston Spa, NY the son of the late George H. and Minnie (Haverkamp) Dorvee. He retired from General Electric as a machinist. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling, photography and gardening. Frank was a life member of the Harmony Corners Fire Department in Charlton, NY. He was also a member of the Harmony Hayshakers New York State Championship Fire Drill Team of 1976.
Frank is survived by his niece and longtime caregiver Rita Reid (Paul) of Niskayuna; his brother George H. Dorvee (Liz) of Ballston Spa; his sister Mildred Clothier of Ballston Spa; and nephews George T. Dorvee (Kathy) of Ballston Spa and Michael Dorvee (Lisa) of Ballston Spa; and several great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Northeast Regional Food Bank in memory of Frank.
