Frank L. Briggs

SCHENECTADY –Frank L. Briggs, 82, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Floyd and Jennie Briggs.
Frank served in the United States Army. He worked for General Electric and retired after 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed riding rollercoasters, visiting museums, playing with animals and spending time with family and friends.
Along with his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Sarah Briggs, and son Bob Briggs.
He is survived by his sons Frank Paul (Michele Lynn) Briggs and Don Briggs of Schenectady; brother Floyd Briggs; grandchildren Sarah, April, Jakob and Ethan Briggs, and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12:30 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:30 to 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302 in Frank's name.
