Albany- Frank Joseph Marchio, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 2, 2023. Born in Albany, he is the son of Maria and late Carmine Marchio. In addition to his mother, Frank is survived by his son Michael Joseph Marchio and Michael's mother, Maria Jimenez. He is also survived by his brother Nicholas Marchio (Nusa).
Frank was a graduate of Guilderland High School and then received his associate's degree at Russel Sage College. While in college, Frank served in the National Guard. Frank was a member of the local search and rescue team. He worked at the Orlando Convention Center as an event planner.
Frank will also be missed by his aunts and uncles; Frances Switzer, Anthony Marchio (Maria G.), Amata Olivo (Aldo) and Maria Marchio and Nick DeMare (the late Rose). He will also be remembered by his many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for Frank's son ,Michael. Donations may be mailed to the funeral home.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at St. Madeline Sophie Church, 3510 Carman Rd, Schenectady, NY 12303 from 9am-10am. A mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30am with entombment following at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
