LOUDONVILLE – Frank Royal Kennedy, 85, of Loudonville, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 30, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 24, 1925 in Albany and was the son of the late Royal and Henrietta Kennedy. Frank attended Schuyler High School and served in the US Navy during WWII as a boatswain's mate second class. His career started in 1946 as a self employed construction contractor. Frank was employed by the Town of Colonie Building Department as the Chief Building Inspector for many years. He was life member and Past Commander of VFW Post 8444 in Albany and a member of the Masonic Evening Star Lodge #75 F&AM in Latham.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rosemary Kennedy. He will lovingly be remembered by his sons, Royal (Amy) Kennedy and John (Haila) Kennedy. Frank was the proud grandfather of John, Heather, Alexander and Aaron. He also leaves behind his loving little canine companions, Cody, Bella and Brooklyn.
Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A prayer service will follow at 7 o'clock. Interment will be private. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Frank R. Kennedy.
