COLONIE – Frank A. Renak, Jr., 78, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Patterson, NY, he was a resident of Colonie for most of his life. Mr. Renak was a U.S. Army veteran serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Watervliet Arsenal after over 35 years of service. Frank was an avid woodworker, woodcarver and cabinet maker. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Watervliet Rod & Gun Club. Frank is the son of Edith Miller and the late Frank A. Renak, Sr. He is the beloved husband of 54 years to Geraldine C. Renak. He is the devoted father of Steven M. (Kim) Renak and Linda A. Renak; brother of Irwin Renak. Also surviving are his grandchildren, John Andrew and Ryan Christopher Renak.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Memory's Garden. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3 Winners Circle, Suite 300, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Frank A. Renak, Jr.
