SAN DIEGO, CA – Francis "Frankie" A. Kindlon, 24, passed away suddenly on Tuesday June 5, 2012. He was born in Albany and is the beloved son of Frank and Susan Kindlon. Frankie is the brother of Kyle J. and Kevin P. Kindlon. He is the cherished grandson of Frank and Rusty Kindlon, Joann and Gary Salerno, Deborah and Charles Woodard and the late Robert A. Scelzi. He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.
He was a 2006 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy. Frankie was employed at Blue Point Restaurant in San Diego. He was able to follow his boyhood dream and move to California where he shared his joy with everyone.
Frankie had an award winning smile and touched many people in his short time here on earth. He was loved by everyone he came into contact with from early his days at St. James School, Whitehall Little League and more recently in Guilderland. He loved baseball, basketball and football and enjoyed spending time at the blackjack tables. His love for his family was remarkable, especially for his brothers Kyle & Kevin. He had a lifetime special bond with his family dogs. Frankie's spirit will always be alive in all of us that were blessed with his presence.
Funeral services will be on Thursday morning at 10:00 at St. Francis of Assisi Church (formerly St. James Church) where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
