Frederick A. Relation, Sr.

Frederick Alan Relation passed away Sunday July 11, 2010.
Fred was born July 7, 1961, in Plattsburgh, New York, son of Lottie (Parsons) Relation and the late Albert Relation, Sr. Fred lived and worked in various states, including New York, Arizona, and Kingman, Kansas where he worked at bridge construction and building grain trailers. It was during this time that he learned the art of welding. In 2002, he moved to Hopeton, OK where he worked for Bakers and then Erickson Steel. Prior to moving to Oklahoma, Fred worked for OGS for New York State. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Relation, Jr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter Amy Relation (Craig) of Clifton Park, son Fred Relation Jr., of Clifton Park, granddaughter Briana Relation of Clifton Park, sisters Ellen Relation of Albany and Cindy Tomlinson (Tom) of West Chester, OH, brother Henry Relation (Lisa) of Johnsonville, sister-in-law Cici Swett (Rick) of Niskayuna, nieces Heather Tomlinson Hodges (Joshua) of Hamilton OH and Kristina Relation of Cohoes, nephews Jeffrey Relation (Stacey) of Niskayuna and Kurt Relation of Chicago, ILL, great-nephews Evan and Jacob Relation and Isaac Hodges, Aunt Enola Craig of Cadyville, mother of his children Dawn Relation of Clifton Park, wife Cristina Porter of Oklahoma and several cousins.
The funeral service will be held Friday 1:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service Friday from 11:00 to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in Fred's memory, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
