Albany — Frederick A. Watso, 50, of Albany died on Sunday, March 3, 2013 after a brief illness.
Fred was born November 30, 1962, the son of Frederick Watso and the late Susan (Paradise) Watso. Freddie attended Albany High School and Albany Business College. He worked as a self-employed painter and subcontractor. Freddie had a love for animals and enjoyed music, reading and cooking. He was a generous, loving and loyal friend to many. He had a great sense of humor and seemingly no serious side. He loved to make people laugh and was a defender of the homeless, elderly and the underdog. He was also proud of his Abenaki Indian culture and history.
Fred is survived by his son Keenu Watso of East Greenbush, NY, his father Frederick Watso of Odanak Reserve, Canada; his sisters, Denise Watso and Donna Mason of Albany, NY; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial services on Thursday at 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Equinox, Inc, 500 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206 in memory of Frederick A. Watso.
