Albany - Frederick Arlington Burnell Fields, 74, was quickly promoted to Glory on Sunday, January 19th, 2014 surrounded by his family, nephews and nieces.
Born in New Amsterdam, Berbice, Guyana, he was the son of the late Alfred "Percival" and Ethel Fields. He moved to the United States, lived in Albany and retired as a System Support Program Specialist at the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
He loved the warm assembly of believers at Bellevue Gospel Chapel,Northway Bible Chapel, and the fellowship of those in the local area, the New York - New Jersey area, Canada, and Guyana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers and sisters: Van Ryck, Florence, Vera, Lucille, and Sidney.
He is survived by his loving wife Bernice Waveney, his sons Philip (Andrea), Michael (Angela), Francis (Grace), David (Lorraine), Mark,Stephen (Susan);many grandchildren, his sister Angelica, his brothers Clifton and Winston; many cousins, nephews, nieces; and numerous brothers, sisters, sons and daughters in the Lord Jesus Christ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Northway Bible Chapel, corner of Moe and Par Del Rio Roads, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
