Frederick "Fred" L. Malbone A.K.A. "Vroom" passed away peacefully on August 16th, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital. Fred was born in Bethesda, Maryland and was the son of the late Frederick Malbone and Marian (Brett) Malbone, and brother of the late John Malbone. He grew up in Baldwinsville; NY graduated from Charles W. Baker High School, and attended Syracuse University. Fred had been an executive in TV and radio advertising for many years in the Capital District Region. He was a past National Sales Manager for Albany Channel 13, and was the Station Manager who helped launch the original airing of Channel 43. He started his own advertising agency Malbone Associates in 1992. Fred had a zest for life and enjoyed driving his corvette "Vroom" anywhere it would lead him, and he always tried to be the first one to break the ice with his boat on Lake George. Fred loved being of the Irish Heritage and enjoyed celebrating it. Fred is survived by his furry felines and companion of 24 years, Mary Jo Occhialino.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Saturday, August 22nd at 10:30AM at Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany, NY. Interment will be private.
