Frederick H. Brooks

Scotia – Frederick H. Brooks, Sr., 69, passed away March 29, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Stoney Creek, NY a son of the late Herbert Brooks and Fredericka Colson and moved to Schenectady as young child, where he was raised and called home for the rest of his life. As a young man, Frederick worked for Consolidated Diesel Corp and later worked for the Department of Defense as a Purchasing Agent at the Scotia Navy Depot. He enjoyed bowling and loved spending summers with his family at the Great Sacandaga Reservoir.
Frederick is survived by his wife of 48 years Jane (Gravell) Brooks, their children Angela Brooks-Braddock and Frederick H. Brooks, Jr., son in law Charles Braddock; grandchildren Joshua and Shannon Braddock, sisters Lorraine Maloy and Freida Siegle, brother Gerald Brooks, step-mother Florence Tryon and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday 10:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday 4:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Garden's Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
