Frederick G. Mausert

Clifton Park- Frederick G. Mausert, 72, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Frederick was the son of the late George and Lois (Waltermire) Mausert. Frederick was the devoted husband to Florence (Holley) Mausert, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

Frederick was a 20-year veteran of the Albany Police Department. In retirement Frederick drove a school bus, worked in his daughter's and son-in-law's candy store and babysat his granddaughter. Frederick enjoyed watching NASCAR and attending local car racing venues. Summertime was his favorite time of the year, spending time at the family camp at Sacandaga, boating and waterskiing and visiting with friends and family.

In addition to his wife, Frederick is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Robert) and Sandra (Frank); his grandchildren, Tara, Collin, and Steven; his siblings, William (Penny), Carol (Arnold), and Richard (Kathleen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday March 18, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 pm, and also virtually via the following link:

Interment will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery (South Gate off Rte. 378), Menands.
