Frederick F. Nelson Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2021 at Kingsway Arms.
He was born in Port Henry, NY, the son of the late Frederick F. Nelson Sr. and Winifred Nelson.
Fred was a Veteran of the U.S. Army proudly serving his country in the Korean War. Fred worked as a Salesman for Freihofer's Baking Company for 37 years. After his retirement, he worked as a Price Chopper Associate. He enjoyed camping, bowling, golfing, puzzles and spending time with his family and friends.
Fred was predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years, Emma B. Nelson in November of 2020. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Lorie Marie Ashman; and siblings, Leo, Charles and Mildred.
He is survived by his son, Frederick J. (Cheryl) Nelson; grandchildren, Sara and Daniel Nelson, Emily, Joseph and Dana Ashman; great grandson, Nathaniel Hoblin, as well as his many in laws.
All services will be held privately at Frederick's request.
