ALBANY – Frederick S. Teeter, 77, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness. He was born on October 29, 1931 in Albany. Frederick was predeceased by his parents Jay and Emma Keeler Teeter; a brother, Robert Teeter and a sister, Dorothy Goodrich.
Frederick is the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Mosher) Teeter. He is the devoted father of Colleen (James) Marron, Patrick (Rae Jean) Teeter, Andrew (Tricia) Teeter and Mary A. (Steve Leh) Teeter. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Nicole and Cindy Marron, Sean, Katherine and Michael Teeter and Emily and Hannah Teeter and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Frederick retired from Armory Garage after working 47 years as a mechanic. After retirement he worked at Hannaford Market. He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at Albany Medical Center Hospital for the care and compassion they gave to Frederick during his illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Francis de Sales Church in Loudonville. Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Frederick's memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
