Passed away June 2, 2021 at the age of 91.
Predeceased by his wife of 61 years RoseMarie.
He is survived by his daughter Lynne (Mike) Graham: granddaughter, Traci (Tim) Koppenhafer; great granddaughters, Alaina & Eva & cousins.
He was a graduate of Draper High School.
Fred was in the Army, 24th Infantry Division Artillery, during the Korean War. He also worked in telecommunications and radio while serving.
Before he went to Korea he worked in the Army Depot, where upon his return from Korea, he continued working.
He then moved onto a 26 year career at Niagara Mohawk , starting as a janitor he then advanced his career, as a mechanic in transportation, and then on to Assistant Superintendent Regional Transportation.
He was a member of both the Guilderland & Altamont VFW. Fred was also a longtime member and Trustee of Carmen United Methodist Church.
Fred enjoyed many Summers on Lake George at his family camp.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 9th from 4pm to 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., where his service will be held at 10am Thursday the 10th.
