COLONIE – Frederick W. Bauer, IV, 48, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. He was born in Albany and lived in Colonie for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years during the Persian Gulf War. Fred was currently working for Metroland Business Machines in Colonie. He is the loving son of Frederick W. and Evelyn Bauer, III of Colonie. Fred is the beloved husband and soul mate of Angelica T. (Sokaris) Bauer of thirty-two years and the devoted father of Sarah I. Bauer, Frederick W. Bauer V and Theodore J. Bauer. He is the cherished brother of Timothy M. (Gina) Bauer of Colonie. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Fred was also a wonderful father figure to Katie Denty. Envied as a simple man, with great value.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 12 Avis Drive, Suite 17, Latham, NY 12210 in memory of Frederick W. Bauer, IV.
