ALBANY_Fredrick Hamm, 68, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2016 surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 31, 1948 to Wells and Maybelle Hamm of Columbia County.
Fred was a devoted and proud husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing with his sons Fred Jr. and Bobby, spending time with his grand kids and cookouts with family and friends.
Fred was employed at Albany International Airport in the maintenance department for several years. In his free time he enjoyed fixing things and "tinkering" around the house.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Linda; his children, Fredrick (Jennifer) Hamm Jr., Robert (Christine) Hamm, Dana Hamm, Michael (Aimie) Koury; 15 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; sister, Louisa (Art) Shook, Grace (Jerry) VanAlphen and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, his grandson, Gregory Brooks, III., his sisters, Frieda, Mary Jane, Maggie, Anna and Orin.
Friends and family are invited to New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 4 to 6pm to visit with Fred's family.
