TROY – Gail A. Fisher, 52, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at her home.
Gail was born on September 9, 1955 in Troy and was the daughter of Alice Mahan and the late John A. Capuano. She excelled in project management and computer technology where she received many awards for her ability to lead others.
Gail loved the beach, cooking, home project, arts and crafts and writing. With her love of animals, Gail was involved in several area animal organizations. She even traveled to NYC several times to transport Great Danes to Bideawee a non-euthanization shelter. Gail also visited many area Catholic Churches as she explored her spirituality.
In addition to her mother, Gail is survived by her daughter, Shannon L. Fisher of Brooklyn; her brother, Michael K. (Terry) Capuano of Oneonta; her sister, Cheryl (Wayne) Brott of Troy; her stepmother, Elaine Capuano; her nieces, Kristie, Jenna, Katie, Julia and McKenzie; her nephew, Justin and her best friend, Patti Hall.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
