Gail Caswell, 79 passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at her residence with her loving family at her side.

Gail was born and raised in Watervliet. After meeting her husband Donald, she went on to work at St.Joseph's Provincial Home and St. Coleman’s Home where she greatly enjoyed caring for the residents there.

Gail loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed the outdoors especially vacationing in Maine. She had a passion for music and dancing. Late in her life she shared a special bond with her boyfriend Richard.

Gail was the daughter of the late Albert Ross and Helen Stopera Ross. Gail was predeceased by her husband of 26 years Donald Caswell.

She is survived by her children Dina (Glenn) Brown, Donnie Caswell (Cindy Khan), and Candi (Chris) Strain. Gail was the loving partner of 11 years to Richard Jourdanais of Cohoes. Gail was the grandmother of Casey (Marc), Michael (Brandy), Nicholas, Aiden, Jacek, Ava, Mason, and Caia. Her great grandchildren are Ian, Dean, Leo, and Evelyn. Gail was sibling to the late Beverly Servedio, Carol Dagen, and David Ross. She is survived by her brother Ronnie Ross, and sister Sherry (Noel) Julian. She also had many nieces and nephews.

Richard was her constant companion and will always be remembered by her family. Many thanks to Aunt Sherry, Noel, and Uncle Ronnie for all the love and support you gave our mother.

In lieu of flowers donations can be given in Gail’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.

The family would like to invite you to attend a visitation on Wed., June 19, 2024 from 10-12pm, service 12p at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY. Immediate procession to St. Agnes (Menands).
