ALBANY – Gail DeLaMater Knight, 58, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Benning and Gina F. DeLaMater. Gail attended the Academy of the Holy Names, Mercy High School and Maria College where she majored in Art, a passion that she carried with her throughout her life. Gail is the mother of Benning W. (Melissa) DeLaMater of East Greenbush and Suzanne Connelly of Lansingburgh. She is the sister of Patrice (Mark) Ellis of Merrimack, NH and Laurie (Richard) Morrison of Albany. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Buck and Brody DeLaMater her nephews, Mark and Greg Morrison and her aunt, Angela (Dan) Phillips and their children, Brian (Heather) and Amy Phillips.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Historic St. Mary's Church on Capital Hill. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
