ALBANY
MacIntosh, Gail B. (nee King), surrounded by her devoted family passed into the loving arms of our Lord on July 12, 2022.
Gail was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 29, 1936, and adopted by Arthur and Amelia (Sheldon) King.
She was a 1954 graduate of Albany High School and worked for several insurance companies until 1956 when she decided to
to pursue her greatest vocation of wife to Robert (Bob) and mother to Kim (Ed) Greiner, Andrew (Debbie) MacIntosh, Lincoln (Lisa)
MacIntosh, Evelyn (John) Schumacher, and Nora (Bill) Locke. Bob and Gail enjoyed working on their family farm, traveling and
fishing on their boat, and a trip to Hawaii to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. Gail participated in many activities to support
her children's interests. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader, chaperone on many Girl Scout outings, led a 4-H group, and taught
Sunday School. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Guilderland and, for the past 25 years, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gallupville.
Gail is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Robert, and her son, Andrew. Those who will share fond memories of their lives with her are her sisters-in-law, Helen (Gerald) White and Linda MacIntosh, her four children, 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in New York and Michigan.
The family would like to thank the amazing ER and ICU staff at Samaritan Hospital whose care was not only skillful, but respectful and compassionate, making Gail's transition from life's journey to eternal glory a peaceful one.
A joy-filled service will be held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 890 State Rte. 443, Gallupville, NY, on Thursday, July 21 at 11:00 am. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so from 10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gail's honor to the church roof fund.
