SCHENECTADY- Gail P. Meluch, age 76, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021 at Ellis Hospital.

She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late John and Mary Van Amburgh.

Gail leaves behind a long list of people who she has touched and love her very much. She was a mom, sister, aunt, nana, grandma and a friend to many. Most will remember her as "Mama Gail."

Survivors include her son, Sheridan (Amy) Wells III; grandchildren: Sheridan Christian Wells IV, Schuyler Anthony Wells, Sawyer Sebastian Wells, Michael Pierce Jr. and Kayla Habiniak; great granddaughter, Cadence Wells; sisters: Mary Palma and Marlene Behnke; brothers: Johnny Van Amburgh and Dennis Van Amburgh. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hour on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A memorial service will follow at 12 Noon.
