Garnett L. Kazlauskas, nee Raus, 91, of Albany passed away peacefully on Friday, January 09, 2015 at the Teresian House.

Born December 18, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Antose Yekaitis Raulinaitis.

After graduating from East High School in Cleveland, she completed training to become a laboratory technician. She worked for many years as a clinical assistant and office manager for an internal medicine/cardiology practice. She was proud to have been the first in the medical field in Schuylkill County to perform portable EKGs. Garnett was a longtime member of St. Casimir's parish in St. Clair, Pennsylvania. She was the most loving, generous grandmother in the world and always enjoyed visits with her great grandson Pace David. Garnett was known for her delicious baked goods, was a lover of all animals especially dogs and was a member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She was an avid reader and instilled a love of reading in her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters Anita Burock Stotts (John) of Guilderland, Mary Kazlauskas of Boulder, CO and Elaine Kazlauskas (Dena) of Annapolis, MD; brother Frank Raus (Patricia) of Phoenixville, PA; granddaughters Amy Monahan (Todd) of Rotterdam and Kelsey Burd of Boulder, CO; great-grandson Pace David Monahan and nieces and nephews Elizabeth Kurth (Evan), Barbara McClurg (Paul), Sarah Sheblessy, Frank Raus (Tammy), Gerard Raus (Denise), Raymond Raus (Victoria), Glenn Raus (Audra), Barry Raus (Lynn), Suzanne Boucek, Mary Anne Rankin and Helen Michelle Cabral (Geoffrey). Garnett is predeceased by her beloved husband Dr. Albert J. Kazlauskas who passed in 1987, her sons John and David Kazlauskas; her sister Agatha Raus Kurth and her brother-in-law Russell Kurth; sisters-in-law Helen, Mary, Genevieve Kazlauskas and Anna Kvedarovicz; brother-in-law John Kvedarovicz; aunt Helen Connelly and cousin Phyllis Sachs.

A graveside service to celebrate Garnett's life will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 12 P.M. at St. Casimir's Cemetery in Saint Clair, Pennsylvania with Father Christopher Zelonis officiating. At Garnett's request there will be no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held at the Teresian House in Albany at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Garnett's memory to the Teresian House Foundation, 200 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 12203 or to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society 3, Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
