Garrett was born in Niskayuna, New York on August 19, 1979. Garrett was a 1998 graduate of Shaker High School in Latham NY.
At the young age of 4, Garrett's journey of strength began when he was diagnosed with leukemia. He fought that battle for 9 years and became a courageous survivor. Years later Garrett's journey involved another fight of personal battles. He won those battles again with his bravery and strength and decided to move across the country and begin a new life. Garrett created a beautiful life for himself with an abundance of friends that he considered family.
Garrett loved the Adirondacks, he loved camping and hunting there. Along with the mountains, he also loved the open road. He drove the highways from coast to coast for many years then settled in Arizona driving trucks there. He loved his Harley motorcycle, riding it over the beautiful roads of the west. He also loved the companionship of his cat, Harley and watching old movies.
Garrett was the guy that was there for everyone, whenever you needed him. He genuinely cared about everyone in his life. Garrett will be forever remembered for his kind heart, beautiful smile and contagious laugh that filled a room and that big bear hug he gave to all.
