Gary Ciabotte, 68, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
Born on March 7, 1955 to the late Joseph and Jennie (Attanasio) Ciabotte Sr.
In his earlier years he attended school in NYC at Fashion Institute of Technology, and he remained creative his entire life. Gary enjoyed working with plants, and at the Nursery in Home Depot and Lowes. He was known for being a creative basket maker for all occasions. Gary loved to travel and would visit many of the night clubs, where he never got off the dance floor. He was an adventurous person and loved to dance. He was blessed and he lived a beautiful life with all his many friends over his lifetime. Gary always made a point to befriend and be kind and supportive to the people he knew. He especially liked visiting Chicago, NY, Cape Cod and Florida, where he enjoyed the sunshine and being on the beach.
Gary is survived by his two brothers, Joseph Jr., and Mark Ciabotte; his good friends, Nancy and Robert Gizzi, Sue Macintosh, Barbara Gardner, Kim Fazio, Cheryl DeNora, Lori Meyers, Heather Magoo, Vonda Chairs, Pasquale, Wayne Jackson, Eugene (NYC), Frannie (FL), Kelly (Saglimbeni) Dobbs, and Michael Saglimbeni. He was predeceased by his very good friend Sue Saglimbeni, Pat Jackson, and Maryann Guerra.
Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Monday, January 8, 2023, at 12:00pm at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, N Brandywine Ave., Schenectady NY 12307. Please arrive to the cemetery by 11:45am to meet inside the cemetery gates, and we will process to the gravesite together. There are no services at the funeral home.
