Latham- Gary Van Ness, 42, passed away Wednesday November 25, 2009.
Gary was born in Albany the son of the late Clayton and Marilyn (LaVigne) Van Ness and was a lifelong area resident. He worked for the US Postal Service as a Mail Handler for over twenty years out of the General Mail Facility on Karner Rd and resided with his family in Latham. Gary was a quiet, gentle man who had a great work ethic , but most of all he was a dedicated family man. He was a wonderful husband and an amazing father who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his devoted wife of fourteen years Debbie Van Ness, his beloved daughter Julia, siblings: Michael (Sue) McMillan, Jennifer Tubbs, Galita Lloyd, Clayton Van Ness and Loren Van Ness, many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 10:00am at Memory's Garden Cemetery, Colonie, family and friends are welcome to gather at the Cemetery Entrance at 9:45am.
