Gary W. Mackey, 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 27, 2015 at his home, with his loving family by his side.
Gary was the cherished son of the late, Martha Mackey.
Gary was the devoted husband to Rosalie Mackey. They were married for over 47 years.
Gary was a member and President of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union. He retired from Albany Steel and Iron in 2005.
In addition to his wife Rosalie, Gary is survived by his sons; Jeffrey (Vicki Weaver) Mackey and Patrick Mackey; his sister Gloria Konsul; his cousin Josie Dorr. He is the adored grandfather of Derek, Jessica, Brianna and Sara. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 12:30 pm at New Comer Funeral Home. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. Entombment will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
