On December 8, 2018 the music in Heaven became sweeter when Gary Warner was called home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 68. He was born in 1950 to the late Donald Warner, Sr. and to Evelyn Warner, and lived in Schenectady, Daytona, Florida and Broadalbin, New York.
Gary was a skilled musician and performed live music for most of his life, most recently on December 6th. He was a Titan in the upstate New York country music community, and bands that he performed with include Chrissy White & Thunder Road, High Noon, Two Lane Hi-Way, Route 2, Whitewater and many, many others. He will be missed for his baritone voice, his proficiency on the guitar, and his legendary sense of humor. He could make a pun out of anything. He also had a huge heart, and was known to take care of fellow musicians who had fallen on hard times. Gary touched many lives in so many ways.
He is survived by his loving son, Clint, his beloved grandchildren, Clint Jr., Alyssandra and Christian, his mother, Evelyn and his brother Donald Jr.
So Gary's many friends can come together and share their memories, stories and songs: A public memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2pm at the Colonie Elk's Lodge, 11 Elks Ln, Latham, NY 12110.
