Schenectady- Gayle Marie Jackson, 71, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her Residence with her loving family by her side. Gayle was the daughter of the late Leon, Sr. and Sylvia Uzzell.
Gayle was a Nurses Aide at Hallmark Nursing Home for many years before retiring. Gayle attended the Albany Public School System. Gayle also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
Gayle is survived by her children, Douglas Jackson, Rochelle (Paul) Minor, Jermaine Jackson; her three granddaughters, Jamesha, Kyana, and Dominique Minor; her siblings, Claire Beattie, Ruth Watson, Joan Lloyd, Sammy Uzzell, Joyce Mason, Linda Wilson, Betty (Otis) Ricks, Barbara Heard and Brenda Harris; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Gayle was predeceased by her late husband, Robert H. Jackson, Jr. and her brother, Leon Uzzell, Jr.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Monday, June 12, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Central Avenue, Schenectady.
