Gene J. Tasso, Sr.

Colonie- Gene J. Tasso, Sr., 77, passed away at his home on December 18, 2018. Born on January 11, 1941 in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Gene and Nellie (Bindulski) Tasso. Gene worked as a meat manager for many years for Albany Public Market in Rotterdam and retired from Grand Union. Gene was an avid movie fan and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees. He loved to fish and collect knives and movies. Gene was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Gene is survived by his loving children: Gene, Jr., John (Melissa), Dina (E.J.) Graham; grandchildren: John (Katie) Tasso, Jr., Anthony Tasso, Shaina McGrath, Alexis Tasso, Jaelyn Graham and Dominic Graham; great-grandson, Jaden Rice; his sister-in-law, Barbara Tasso. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, December 22 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 12 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
