Geneva Dolores Gamble

Troy - Geneva Dolores Gamble, 86, originally from Greeleyville, SC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Geneva was the daughter of the late Jessie and Mary Dukes Bennett. Geneva was the devoted wife to the late O'Neal "Buster" Gamble.

Geneva liked to cook for family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling. Geneva worked as a Counselor/Aide at the Cohoes Senior Center before retiring.

Geneva is survived by her children, Genrett Dukes, Harvey, Francine and Charlene Gamble; her grandchildren, Shalonda and Loriel Dickson, Kareem Brown, Jahmeer Jackson, Fatima and Dante Gamble, Rodney, Tania and Salaya Dukes; nine great grandchildren; three siblings; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

Geneva is predeceased by her son, Karl O'Neal Gamble and her eight siblings.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy. Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
