Genevieve C. Sidoti
December 19, 1920 — June 18, 2014
Albany- Genevieve C. Sidoti (Bolaski) passed away surrounded peacefully on Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's. Genevieve was the daughter of the late Rose (Schlongowski) and Julian Bolaski.
Genevieve worked for over 20 years at Williams Press as a supervisor and also worked for the NYS Tax and Finance Department for over 30 years. She was a hard worker and enjoyed playing the lottery in her spare time. Genevieve was a devout Catholic and attended Mass regularly at Blessed Sacrament Church.
Genevieve is predeceased by her husband Joseph Sidoti; her son, Frank Sidoti; her nephew, Richard Rheingold; and her siblings, Helen, Jane, Stella, Mary, Leo, James, and Anna.
Genevieve is survived by her daughter-in-law Sandra Sidoti; her sister-in-law, Jacqueline Bolaski; her granddaughter Lisa (Kevin) DeForge; her great grandchildren; Ryan, Emily, and Katelyn; her nephews, Michael Rheingold, George Bradwell, James Bradwell, James Poleto, David Bolaski, and Edward Bolaski; and her nieces, Rosemary Hall, Sheila Bradwell, Carol Bradwell, Carol Heneghan, Lisa Perkins, Sheila Roberts, and Rosanne Hoag. She is also survived by many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Genevieve on Monday June 23rd at 9:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Calling hours will be Sunday June 22nd from 2 – 5 p.m. at Newcomer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Genevieve's name to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205.
