Genevieve (Gail) Robitaille passed away on Thursday, August 12 after fighting a three year battle with her health. She will be missed greatly by her family.
Genevieve was 81, born in West Rutland, VT to Mary Cecot Razanousky and Peter Razanousky. As a young child, the family moved to Watervliet, NY with Genevieve graduating from Watervliet High School. Genevieve married Harvey Robitaille and together they enjoyed a 60 year union. They have two children, David Robitaille of North Providence, RI and Debi Robitaille with her husband Tim McCain of Hopkinton, MA. Genevieve also has 2 loving grandchildren, Chris & Courtney McCain.
Genevieve is survived by her sisters, Helen Moquin and MaryAnn Moroskey and many nieces and nephews and their children.
She is reunited in heaven with her sister, Jenny Heffner and brothers, Stan, Frank and Peter Razanousky.
Genevieve started her career working in retail at Montgomery Ward, JC Penney and GEX. She then went on to work at Covert Manufacturing and CVA Equipment. She worked for years at Council 82 Albany until retiring. Genevieve is a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham, NY. Throughout her life, Genevieve enjoyed her family and pet cats, travelling, and was an exceptional crafter especially enjoying crocheting. She also liked watching soap operas, dining out & going to casinos.
A Private Service will be held for Genevieve on Thursday, August 19 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
