Genevieve Truax

COLONIE- Genevieve M. Truax, 97, formerly of Colonie, passed away on Monday March 14, 2005 at Villa Mary Immaculate Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born in Colonie and was the daughter of the late John and Caroline Becude.
Genevieve had worked as a secretary for several years in the Research and Development division of the General Electric Company in Schenectady. She was a longtime communicant of St. Clare's Church and a former member of it's Altar Rosary Society. She was predeceased in 1985 by her husband Francis Truax. She is survived by many dear friends, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at St. Clare's Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 8:30 to 9:30am at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memorys Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Albany NY 12211.
