George A. Macczak

SCHENECTADY – George A. Macczak, 57, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, he was the beloved son of the late Antoni and Helen Macczak. George was a Schenectady resident for all of his life. He worked for General Electric for many years until his retirement. George was an avid Harley Davidson rider and was on staff at American Motorcycle and Jamboree for many years.


He is survived by his brothers, Richard, Gregory and John Macczak all of Schenectady; his niece, Marietta (Joe) Yetto and his nephews, Reginald and Elijah McCall.


Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross of Northeastern NY, 33 Everett Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of George A. Macczak.
