DELMAR---George Lewis Ayers, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2021.
He was was born in Springfield, MA on September 9, 1930. He served in the US Air Force in Okinawa during the Korean War.
He loved traveling in his RV and visited all 50 states in his travels with his wife Jeanne.
George is survived by his wife, Jeanne D. Ayers; a son, Steven Ayers; a daughter, Jill Michne and a granddaughter, Sarah Eleanor Ayers. He is also survived by four stepdaughters: Diana Martin, Kim Timer, Meredith Wigen and Jennifer Murphy and eight step grandchildren: David Walton, Kenneth Rockwell, Kari Johnstone, Tanner Ferris, Nicole Forest, James Murphy, Molly Murphy, and Abdullah Bin Nasir.
He was very proud of being a Veteran and will be put to rest at the Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date, still to be determined.
