George was born on September 2, 1952, son of the late Agnes Greene in Albany, NY.
George was a devoted husband and father, an excellent provider who was always putting his family first. George cherished being a loving grandfather to Abbigail and Christopher. He loved holidays and cookouts with friend and family. He loved working with his hands and was very talented when it came to making things. George was a devout Catholic and a man of great faith. He will be very dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Carol Burden; 2 children, George Burden and Gloria Burden; grandchildren, Abbigail Batease and Christopher Melton; siblings, Peggy Boyzer, Elizabeth Greene; nieces and nephews, Hector Febus (Lee), Tammy Welcome (Joe), Gloria Turner (Orlando), Denise Floeser (Dave); brother-in-law and close friend, Michael Rudolph (Cindy) and many other friends and relatives.
George was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Victor Boyzer and sister, Mary Lou Greene.
A memorial service to celebrate George's life will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Calling hours will be from 10-11 before the service.
