George C. Otty

George C. Otty (79) loving husband for 57 years of Geraldine (Gerry) Otty passed way to eternal rest on March 28, 2015. George is survived by his two children, Terri Ryan (Harry Holck) and George (Lorna) Otty. Two grandchildren Amanda (Ted) Thrane and Kevin Otty.
George was predeceased by his parents George C. Otty and Friedagard Otty Stanchuk.
George is also survived by his siblings: Gloria Fraley, Beatrice Otty, Lawrence (Kathy) Otty, Ronald (Sharon) Otty, Robert (Francis) Otty.
George served in the US Army. He was also a member for many years of both West Albany and Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Departments. He was also a member of the American Legion Joseph E. Zaloga Post 1520.
George loved to share time with his family – especially in Disney World – his favorite vacation spot. He also loved to golf with his son George and Brother Larry, as well as hunting and fishing.
We would like to thank Dr. Jay Watsky, Dr. Brian Murray, Dr. Lawrence Garbo, the nurses and staff at NYOH – especially staff members Maureen, Amanda, Sarah and Antwanette for the excellent care they provided to George.
Family and friends may pay their respects at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Wednesday, April 1 between the hours of 4pm and 8pm. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Thursday, April 2 at New Comer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie, New York.
