DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA - George D. Nati, 80, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Sandalwood Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, Fla., after a long illness. Born in Albany, N.Y., he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret Nati and was the loving husband to the late Joyce Hahm Nati for 33 years. George served his country in the army stationed in Germany from 1948-1951, having received several awards. George worked for many years as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamster's Union Local 294. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus. George is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jeannette Nati; his daughters, Tina Nati, Sandra (Dominic) Scialdone of Massachusetts, Judy Melton of Florida, and Kristine (James) Kalenian of North Carolina; and by a brother, Frank Nati Jr. He was predeceased by his son, George F. Nati; one brother, and two sisters. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, May 20, 2011 at noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
