George H. Leach

ALBANY – George H. Leach, 79, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2008 at the Stratton VA Medical Center.
George was born on June 15, 1929 in West Burke, VT and was the son of the late Delmer and Madeline Hodge Leach. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He lived life to the fullest. He will be missed by many family and friends.
George is survived by his son, Kevin Leach; his daughter, Darlene Canty; four grandchildren; his sister, Beverly Cullen of Littleton, NH and his longtime companion of 30 years, Roseann Malloy. He was a stepfather figure to her children, Donna Ferlazzo (Sal), Jerry Malloy (Linda), Brian Malloy (Cheryl) and Ken Malloy (Kathy) and a grandfather figure to Theresa Marcello (Joe), Donald Ferlazzo (Jamie), Kevin, Justin, Ken and Sean Malloy and Keegan Burke-Falotico.
A special thank you to all who supported him during his illness, most especially Sylvia Ferlazzo who was at his side until his passing.
Memorial calling hours will be held at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Friday, August 1, 2008 from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date at the Landaff Cemetery in Landaff, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of George H. Leach.
