COLONIE – George J. Audi, Sr., 61, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
George was born on October 11, 1948 in Albany and was the son of the late Frederick and Margaret (McCoy) Audi. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked as a union iron worker with Ironworkers Local 12 in Albany, retiring after 41 years. He enjoyed race cars, motorcycle riding and boating.
George is survived by his son, George J. Audi, Jr. and his wife Christina of Guilderland; his daughter, Jami Audi of Latham; his grandchildren, Bobby Rodgers, Alexa Audi, Antonio Audi, Blake Rodgers, and Giorgio Audi; his brothers, Richard Audi and his wife, Carole; his sister, Joyce Pelton and her husband, Mike; and his nieces, Rachel and Lisa Audi, and Tracey Rivera. He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Audi Jr. and a niece, Tia Daniels.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
