George Jury

ALBANY – George Jury, 59 of Shubuta, MS, passed away on November 30, 2008 in Albany, NY. He was born on May 26, 1949 in Shubuta, MS and is the son of Lizzie Jury and the late Houston Jury. He was educated at Shirley Owens School. He married his wife Lynda on May 31, 1979 in Albany, NY. George was a very hard working man who dedicated his life to helping anyone in need. In addition to his mother, Lizzie Jury, George is survived by his wife, Lynda Jury and their children, Marcus and Sharae Jury. He is the grandfather of Ny'Aira and A'Marius Jury. He is the brother of Mamie Wallace, Lucy Mae Pickins, Annie Ruth Jones, Amy Lee McCarty and Houston Jury. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends. George's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all those who loved and supported them during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Funeral services will be held at Tribulation Baptist Church in Mississippi on December 6, 2008 with Howard Houston officiating. Burial will follow in Davenport Cemetery. All arrangements in Mississippi will be handled by McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
