George K. Barr

AVERILL PARK - George K. Barr, 77, went to be with his Lord on Monday, May 14, 2012. He was born in Pittsburg, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Craft Casatelli. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Bertha Barr and his sister, Barbara Lewis of Pittsburg, Pa. He is also survived by his brother William of Philadelphia; his sister, Carolyn Miller of Carnegie, Pa.; his children, George III (Jennifer) of Canton Oh., Darlene of Niskayuna, Sharon (Erik) Sinkora of Lyndonville, NY; his step children, Jeffery (Deborah) Busold of Nassau, NY, Karen Meade Clifford of Delhi, NY; his grandchildren, Zachary of Averill Park, Meranda, Mariah, Casey and Marlee, all of Canton, Oh.; his step grandchildren, Michelle Meade of Liberty, NY, Samantha Busold of Nassau, NY and David Meade of Livingston Manor, NY; and many nephews and nieces.
There will be no viewing hours. Burial and short service will be held at 12 noon Thursday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY. A procession will leave New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205 at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Reformed Church, 706 Blooming Grove Drive, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
