SCHENECTADY – George K. Schell, 75, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011.
George was born on January 31, 1936 and is the son of Edith E. (Crounse) Schell and the late George Schell. He was the proprietor of Geoell Industries and prior to that co-owner and operator of Ribley and Harppinger, Inc. He thoroughly enjoyed stockcar racing and NASCAR.
In addition to his mother, George is survived by his son, Bruce W. (Kathy) Schell; his daughters, Cheryl L. Ackner and Cindy L. Schell; his granddaughter, Kendall L. Ackner; his siblings, James (Carol) Schell, Lois (Don) Hudson, and Roy Schell and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion F. (Beverly) Schell and his brother, Ronald "Butch" Schell.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Memory Gardens.
