Cobleskill-George Charles Manor, Jr. 64, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Albany Medical Center with his loving family by his side. After winning a battle with stage 4 cancer.
He always loved spending time with his family, traveling and enjoying life. He will be MISSED!
George is predeceased by his Father, Mother and 2 brothers.
George was the devoted husband of 26 years to the love of his life Ellen Manor, whom he cherished and adored. He is also survived by his Daughter Melanie (Scott) Munger and Son Don (Tabitha) Pitts. He was the adored "PaPa" of twins Tanner & Tyler Munger and Anton & Daxton Pitts. God Mother Geraldine Kent, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Coco his beloved dog.
George was a Honorable Lifetime Member of the Elks PDDGER. Where he was "Santa" at Christmas and ran the Free Haunted house at Halloween for all the children for 20 years. He also visited many ELKS in the United States, had only 4 states to go. He was Capital District chairman for the Veterans, volunteer at local ice cream social (loved to bring his grandboys) and Wounded Warrior projects. He had a few different jobs, but his last job was at Culligan
where he enjoyed his customers and his customers enjoyed him.
He always helped others, often his neighbors when needed. Kids basketball and soccer shoot. He coached Little League where they were 2017 Champions, Coach Papa will be missed. He took his wife on the trip of a lifetime visiting many states, even became a cowboy. He enjoyed
Boating and fishing with grandsons. BIG NY Yankees & NY Giants FAN. Dedicated Family man with a BIG heart.
A memorial service will be held at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 185 Church St., Central Bridge, NY 12035. Saturday, April 7th @ 11am. Elks service starts @ 11am.
