George S. Parish

SCHENECTADY- George S. Parish, age 90, passed away on January 16, 2022 with his wife of 71 years and children by his side at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Clintonville, NY, the son of the late Wilson and Mary Parish. He was predeceased by his siblings and his children: Corinna Burgess, George Parish Jr. and Bruce Parish and grandchildren, Anthony Parish, Ashleigh McNeal and Maryann Parish.
George retired from Schenectady County after 50 years of service. In his free time he loved his garden and was able to fix and repair anything, including cars. He was quite a jokester.
He is survived by his wife, Alice J. Parish; children: Sharon Mango, Thomas Parish, Jo-An Parish, Pamela Parish, Michele Hernandez and Russell Parish.
Also survived by 20 grandchildren and many many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Wednesday January 26, 2022 from 1 to 3 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Masks are required in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in George's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr #100, Albany, NY 12205.
