George J. Pomakoy

Albany- George J. Pomakoy, 87, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at his Residence with his loving family by his side. George was the son of the late George Pomakoy, Sr. and Elizabeth (Cotrofeld) Pomakoy. George was the devoted husband to the late Janet Lois Snyder Pomakoy.
George was member of Christ Lutheran Church. For most of his life, George worked as a Dental Technician for Northeastern Dental Lab before retiring. He enjoyed spending time in Wentzville, MO with his daughter, Jill and son-in-law, Steven and niece, Sarah Pine and a host of neighbors that always welcomed his visit. Recently, he enjoyed a few days in the North Country where his fondness for the Adirondacks and his love of the outdoors was rekindled if only for a short time. He was a kind-hearted man who appreciated what he had and didn't lament on what he didn't have or need.
George is survived by his children, Bruce Pomakoy and Jill (Steven) Pine; grandddaughter, Sarah Pine; his sisters, Rosemary Synder and Diane LaTourret; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, McKownville at a time yet to be determined
Donations be made in George's memory to Albany Dialysis Center, 64 Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12204 .
