Albany- George Ray, Jr., 75, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2005, at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Virginia he was the son of the late George Ray, Sr. and ------Ray. George had worked as a long shore man for John W. McGrath for over forty years until his retirement.
George is survived by his two sons; Emanuel Ray of Amsterdam, and Steven M. Ray of Albany, and five grandsons; Emanuel, Christian, Joshua, Noah, and Solomon. He is also survived by two great-grandsons; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his dear friend Carlene Dorsey.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25th at 11:00 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 Am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
