WATERVLIET - George E. Spoon, 67, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
George was born on April 17, 1955 in Troy. He served proudly in the US Army. George retired from Samaritan Hospital after 44 years, lastly as a culinary supervisor. He was a dog lover and loved hiking, especially in the High Peaks region. He earned his black belt at Brunswick Lee's Tae Kwon Do.
George is survived by his domestic partner, Christine Inman and his canine companion, Woody. He was predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Eleanor Hill; his parents; his sister, Lori; and his canines, Woof, Paschaw, Oscar, and Sasha.
Per George's request, there will be no services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of George E. Spoon.
