George L. Steele, 73, died Monday March 5 2018 at the Albany County Nursing Home after two and one half years of convalescence. He is fondly missed by his friends and caregivers there.
Affectionately also known as "Shuster", he was born in Albany, NY. He resided in Florida and North Greenbush. George was an avid fisherman and musician as well as an undying NY Giants and Oakland Raiders fan. He valued all of his fishing buddies over the years. Shuster is survived by his brother Timothy Steele of Texas, daughter Tara Steele of Florida, cousins, Deborah Grant of Latham, Nancy Baker of West Sand Lake, and Wayne Elliot, and Bonnie of Palm Coast, Florida.
Friends and family are invited to a remembrance at the home of Deborah and Ralph Grant on April, 14 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Email your intentions to attend at: debbiegrant21@gmail.com.
He will also be remembered at a Memorial Service at the Albany County Nursing Home, 780 Albany Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12211, on April 25 2018, at 2:15 PM.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Joe Houser Sr., Joe Houser Jr., wife Shelly, and especially Abby for their love and care, along with special thanks to the caregivers at the Albany County Nursing Home.
